I think, that you can either give money to a company, that will transfer them, either give it to poor people by yourself: on the street, in hospitals, etc. If you want to give it to a company you will need to know about it first: maybe it is a thief-company? But you can catch not poor people giving money by your self. So, all ways have it`s own pluses and minuses and you need to be very carefull in charity
